I didn’t see my Pa today. He currently lives a few hundred miles away but I’m hoping this time next year, we will all be able to celebrate Father’s Day together. My Ma and Pa are in the process of moving a little closer to us here in Penzance. In fact, they will only be one mile away in a village on the outskirts of town. Hooray!
So, it was just me, Little My and her Pa today. We made the most of the dry weather and headed out on our bikes to Mousehole. I had to dust the cobwebs off my beautiful bike, Rosa, as I’m ashamed to say, this was her first outing of the year.
It was a tad chilly on the beach at Mousehole but like true Brits, we put on more layers and enjoyed our cheese sandwiches regardless. We didn’t last that long though, as Little My is still recovering from tonsillitis, so we headed to Jessie’s Dairy for a brew and something sweet.
On the way, we noticed a little shop had appeared. Seawitch Stores has only been open for two and a half weeks but looks as comfortable in its surroundings as a much more established store. It’s a real mix of concepts – a bit of old, a bit of new, something for the kids to buy with their pocket money, take-away food and Italian Deli. A lovely little addition to Mousehole. www.facebook.com/seawitchstores
