We’ve been away for a week visiting friends, family and old haunts in Stratford-upon-Avon. It has taken 8 years of living in Cornwall and the arrival of Little My to make me feel nostalgic about my place of birth.
During our visit, I was really struck by the quantity of beautiful trees bearing blossom. We have magnolias and camellias aplenty here in Cornwall but I really miss these delicate blooms. As children, we used to pick up the fallen petals in great handfuls and throw them in the air like confetti at our make-believe weddings.
