I can’t help being drawn to things which remind me of my daughter and my own childhood. I guess that reflects the place I’m in at the moment.
I’m especially drawn to Belle and Boo’s illustrations and products. They portray childhood from another era. Days spent playing in woods, by streams and in fields. A time of innocence, when you could disappear on your own or with friends in the morning and not be seen again until your stomach grumbled so loudly that you knew it must be meal time.
For Little My’s birthday I bought her the Bubbles Before Bed, To Do Book. The book is based around the story of a bedtime routine but it also includes creative activities such as illustrations to colour in, a dress up Belle and Boo and instructions for how to make a paper boat and a Boo flannel hand puppet. It is such a beautiful book and one that can be filled with many precious memories. www.belleandboo.com
